Hey, I’m Akhil Amer.

I’m Akhil Amer, a Berlin-based designer and artist originally from Syria. I grew up surrounded by making, and sculpture was my first language: wood, metal and stone taught me how materials think before I ever touched a computer.

I graduated in Product Design from the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin (KHB), where I learned to bring that hands-on instinct together with digital tools, electronics and 3D printing. Today my work moves between objects, sculpture and installation: a loudspeaker that hangs from its own power cable, a jacket you play like an instrument, DJ knobs reshaped for hands that don’t fit the standard.

What connects it all is a curiosity about how people touch, hear and use the things around them. I like taking an everyday object, questioning it, and rebuilding it so it feels new.
