AX15 approaches the loudspeaker as a spatial object rather than a static box placed on a surface. While conventional systems depend on stands or furniture, positioning itself becomes the core design element in AX15.

The project began with the observation that height and orientation significantly influence sound perception, yet remain largely fixed in most products. AX15 integrates these variables directly into its structural concept.

The central element is the suspension. The cable performs multiple functions simultaneously: it supports the speaker, enables smooth height adjustment, and transfers electrical power. Separate brackets, stands, and additional components are eliminated. The construction is reduced to a continuous system in which structure and function are inseparable.

By suspending the speaker freely, AX15 achieves visual lightness and reduces its physical presence within the space. Direct contact with furniture or floors is avoided, minimizing unwanted vibrations. The design follows a principle of integration, where each element fulfills more than one role.

AX15 operates between product design and spatial design. Sound is treated not as a fixed output but as a spatial presence. The combination of suspension, mechanics, and power transmission defines a distinct loudspeaker typology, reduced to its essentials and driven by functional clarity.

Sustainability / production

The project also has potential from a material and production perspective. By reducing separate mounting parts, visible cables, and heavy casing elements, AX15 can lower material use and product complexity. In the next development phase, I want to explore lighter materials, local production methods, and a more efficient construction of the speaker body.

State of Prototype

AX15 is currently at a functional prototype stage, including:

  • a mechanical suspension system enabling angle and height adjustment;
  • integration of the dual-function suspension/power element;
  • basic acoustic testing in different configurations.

At this stage, the concept has been physically validated, demonstrating both movement and functional feasibility.

Outlook

  1. 01

    Adaptive audio system

    AX15 moves from static loudspeakers toward an adjustable and integrated sound system, combining suspension, power delivery, positioning, and acoustic control.

  2. 02

    Future self-adjustment

    In the next development phase, the system could become motorized or self-adjusting, allowing the speaker to react to the position of users or audiences in space.

  3. 03

    Modular sound installations

    AX15 can develop beyond a single speaker into a modular system, where several units connect wirelessly to create flexible sound installations for different interiors.

  4. 04

    Local and lightweight production

    As a founder, my goal is to build AX15 as a lightweight, locally producible product with fewer components, lower material use, and a more accessible production process.

  5. 05

    Sustainable growth

    This approach allows AX15 to grow step by step, from a working prototype into a scalable product family for galleries, hotels, cultural venues, and public interiors.
